Before, moulds, thermo-forming, pastry competitions and stencils, 3dChef was pioneering 3D food printing. This is not to say we no longer have an interest in the the area, its only that the area did not go the way we would have liked it too. I still see areas of development and some of those we are working on behind the scenes. My focus was always on production environments and not desktop dinky units.
During our development we were lucky enough to be approached by the European Space Agency ESA on solutions for food technologies, where our pitch ended with, "we'll email you a muffin" and notable other food companies on the possibilities. We also received a mention in the world's leading multidisciplinary science journal, nature.
